Report from the Grounds' Superintendent Hole 13 News New lots were recently created on hole # 13 and the first one has been sold. Funds from the sale of the land will be used to build the new PAR 5 - Hole #13. Hole #13 will be totally new from Tee to Green. The tree-lined fairway will sweep around in the shape of a semicircle. A fairway bunker comes into play on the right side of the fairway on your drive and on the left side of the fairway on your second shot. More bunkers guard the left front of the green. The pond will still be a factor if your approach shot strays to the right of the green. The pond and the trees will have to be negotiated when attempting to go for the green in two shots. This beautiful hole was designed and will be built by Kris Spence Golf Design. The hole will be lengthened to 500 yards from the rear tee. The tees will be raised and enlarged. The fairway will temporarily be planted with winter ryegrass with the sprigging of Bermuda grass to follow next summer. A new cart path will be built on the left side of the fairway and a new double row irrigation system will be installed as well. All necessary drainage will be installed where applicable. The rock wall over the pond will remain and the pond will be widened at rear of the new green. I am sure everyone is as excited as we are about this wonderful enhancement to your course.
